Dancing in the slanted rain your hair covers your eyes When we leave here things may change so please, stay with me tonight Running through the bleacher seats your hand locked in mine When we leave here things may change so please, stay with me tonight It's unbelievable how often I am always falling in love But I think that all my dreams are over now 'Cause you're the girl that I've been dreaming of Stalled out in the parking lot wishing our clothes were dry When we leave here things may change so please, stay with me tonight It's unbelievable how often I am always falling in love But I think that all my dreams are over now 'Cause you're the girl that I've been dreaming of Dancing in the slanted rain your hair covers your eyes When we leave here things may change so please, stay with me tonight stay with me tonight (C) 2020 Bryan Gallo (P) 2020 Bryan Gallo Muzak (ASCAP)

I'm stranded down in the subway station while the train shoots down the rails I've caught her face but I'm a minute too late I'm feeling pained 'cause I know I failed in catching the one that seems most likely to effortlessly change my world I've gotta stop putting so much stock in all of these pretty girls I've rearranged my plans tonight 'cause I heard that you'd be waiting in the wings You've gone and changed but that's alright so long as I can hear you sing 'Cause every note that escapes your throat sends me to another world I've gotta stop putting so much stock in all of these pretty girls Sugar and spice and everything nice never go hand in hand The sweeter they seem the harder they bite that's something that I'll never understand I tried to hail the same cab you climbed in so I could get closer to you But I know you'd only see me as a fan, a hanger on without a clue Still I know enough that you would never as much make me an island in your world I've gotta stop putting so much stock in all of these pretty girls I've gotta stop putting so much stock in all of these pretty girls (C) 2014 Bryan Gallo (P) 2020 Bryan Gallo Muzak (ASCAP)

The waitress walks by asks me what I need and I reply, Just a black cup of coffee please. 'Cause I've got a hunger you could never feed, unless you are willing to come home with me So gather your tips and let's walk down mainstreet, I don't care if you've got no stilettos on your feet and God only knows if we'll get any sleep but we'll Have all these photos and memories to keep. Come let your hair down long and help me sing this song It ain't written yet but if you stay with me, it might be written by the morning, Come let your hair down long, and help me sing this song it ain't finished yet but if you stay with me, it might be finished by the morning So gather your keys, your sweater, and your skirt and make haste for the door because you're late for work. You've got two shifts and endless faces to serve and there won't be one to let you know what you're worth So while collecting your tips, could you please not fall? I'd hate for you to break because I think I'm in love I know that you said we weren't serious at all so I'll just have to be content to have a waitress on call. Come let your hair down long and help me sing this song It ain't written yet but if you stay with me, it might be written by the morning, Come let your hair down long, and help me sing this song it ain't finished yet but if you stay with me, it might be finished by the morning Don't ask why I hurt, you know it's 'cause you flirt with no regard for any feelings but your own. Still every night I dial your number all the while I know when the sun comes up you'll be gone. Come let your hair down long and help me sing this song It ain't written yet but if you stay with me, it might be written by the morning, Come let your hair down long, and help me sing this song it ain't finished yet but if you stay with me, it might be finished by the morning it ain't finished yet but if you stay with me, it might be finished by the morning it ain't finished yet but if you stay with me, we might be finished (C) 2014 Bryan Gallo Muzak (ASCAP) (P) 2020 Bryan Gallo

Karma 04:00
I used to run so wild and free I guess that karma's catching up with me My bones they ache and I can't sleep, I guess that karma's catching up with me It's no wonder why I'm all alone burning every bridge I've ever crossed I'm seeking shelter from this storm and I'm willing to pay whatever cost You get what you give in and I took too much for free, I guess that karma's catching up with me In my younger days I was the king I guess that karma's catching up with me In my deck of cards you were my queen of hearts, I guess that karma's catching up with me It's no wonder why I'm all alone burning every bridge I've ever crossed I'm seeking shelter from this storm and I'm willing to pay whatever cost You get what you give in and I took too much for free, I guess that karma's catching up with me You get what you give in and I took too much for free, I guess that karma's catching up with me (C) 2014 Bryan Gallo (P) 2020 Bryan Gallo Muzak (ASCAP)

about

This release includes four songs from a live solo acoustic performance given on June 28th, 2020 to a small and socially distanced audience outdoors in The Pine Barrens of Long Island. The performance took place on Dorene Rose's Arts Stage at the Lantern Sound Recording Rig HQ's as part of a line-up that included other Long Island based musicians and spoken word performers. All sets were filmed, and portions were used during the live webcast of Patchogue NY's virtual version of their popular Alive After Five Fest on July 2nd, 2020.

This performance marked Bryan's first public performance of strictly original material since a State of Emergency was declared in his native State of New York on March 7th, 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing him and many other NY residents to quarantine at home for several weeks. Included in this set are "In The Slanted Rain", a song to be included in Bryan's forthcoming full length studio release, and three songs from his debut full length The Party Guest.

about

Bryan Gallo New York

Bryan Gallo is a Long Island based singer-songwriter. His songs are inspired by late nights in bars, the backseats of cars, and the pressures and consequences of living life romantically. Intrigued by both the sounds of alternative country-rock and wistful pop music he began to pen songs that would be deeply personal but still readily accessible. ... more
